Apropos, one of the latest achievements of joint cooperation of Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași, Universitatea Ștefan cel Mare din Suceava and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University has been the project “Jean Monnet Online Course of European Integration: Economic Development”, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, coordinated and held by Professor Diego Varela, Chair holder of Jean Monnet Chair in European Political Economy. The Masters of International Studies of the Faculty History, Political Science and International Studies were given an excellent opportunity to fulfill the course requirements and be certified for their active participation in lectures and seminars on ‘European integration: the EU and its policies, economic issues of EU sustainable development’. It should be emphasized that the Masters of our Faculty were highly appreciated for their being fluent in English, Romanian and Spanish.

“Jean Monnet Open Online Course of European Integration was centered on the pursuit of knowledge, insight and skills pertaining to analysis of European economic development and its legal-political and societal impact on both EU member-states and third countries. Especially valuable was studying the current state of the European Union in the times of global changes, Brexit and increased Euroscepticism trends. Challenging and efficient was our participation in weekly digital assignments and discussions. Besides, it developed my ability to effectively and efficiently manage both information and assignments and improve my English language skills” (Ksenia Iliuk)

“It was a big pleasure to take Diego’s online course “European integration: Economic Development”. Innovative approaches in studying allowed us to become familiar with the current problems that exist in EU. Diego divided us into several teams, which increased the competition among the students. The combination of the online lectures, seminars, quizzes, and interactive materials gave us a unique opportunity to enhance knowledge of the economic spectrum of EU. I’m looking forward to attend Diego’s next online course “Strategic Communications”, I believe this course will give me a great chance to attain a relevant knowledge in such realms as public relations, advertising, and the role of social media in today’s EU policy” (Helen Yehorova)

‘The Open Online course: Economic Development opens you knowledge about single market and policies of each European country-member. I broadened my outlook by knowing globalization processes, and how global markets cooperate through manufacturing their products at reasonable prices. Totally recommend this course for those who want to be involved in economic processes in a global way! Course of ‘Strategic Communications’ is about campaigns, social media influence and data base. I can’t wait when it starts!’ (Anastasiia Fitio)
