SIGNING OF COOPERATION AGREEMENT

The Department of Decorative Applied and Fine Arts of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Decorative Applied Art of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University plays an important role in popularizing the artistic folk traditions of Bukovyna and contemporary professional artistic practices that are the bearers of the national culture of our country.

On 5-6 of June an exhibition of artistic works “Traditions and Innovations in Decorative Arts of Bukovyna” was presented at George Enescu National University of Arts. The exposition of works clearly demonstrates the phenomenon of the Bukovynian ethnos, highlights the progressive world-view position of artists of our time and gives an opportunity to appreciate their significant contribution to the development of artistic culture.

The main purpose of the visit of the Bukovynian delegation was to sign THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT between Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Rector, Prof. S. Melnychuk) and George Enescu National University of Arts (Rector, Prof. A. – H. Semionescu).

Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Decorative Applied Arts, Prof. I. Fodchuk (Chernivtsi University), Vice-Rector, Prof. Aurelia Simion and Vice-Rector, Prof. Florin Grogoras (George Enescu National University) were present at the signing of the agreement.

The agreement provides joint research projects and art projects according to the common interests and available resources of both universities (organization of  study, cultural trips and summer schools for students) .
