TEAM OF CHERNIVTSI CHEMISTS AND PHYSICISTS HAS BEEN HONORED WITH A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Peter Fochuk, Oleg Kopach, Yevhen Nikonuk and Zinaida Zakharuk, a team of scientists from the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, received an award from the world-famous IEEE organization for “Microinhomogeneities in Semi-Insulating Cd(Zn)Te” publication .

This scientific publication deals with improvement of the properties of materials used for radiation detectors manufacture, particularly – of gamma rays detectors. The exploration was held on the basis of “Functional Materials Technology” Training and Scientific Center, which functions at the Chernivtsi University since 2013. In the Training and Scientific Center a research is carried out on technology of cultivation and exploration of semiconductor materials, diploma and dissertation researches and other research works at the expense of the state budget and the grantors.
