“The Prodigy of Pinzel”

On October 31, in the Red Hall of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the presentation of Vira Stetsko’s artistic album “Таїна Пінзеля“(The Prodigy of Pinzel) dedicated to the works of a famous national sculptor of the middle of the XVIIIth century took place, the representative of the late Baroque and Rococo – Ioan Georg Pinzel.

The presentation took place within the framework of the cultural artistic project “Під Зорею Пінзеля” (Under the Pinzel’s Star ) which was launched with the purpose of popularizing the artistic heritage of Ioan Georg Pinzel. One of the important missions of the project is to activate the artistic environment of the West-Ukrainian cities: encouraging young and well-known artists, sculptors, ceramists, literary, theatrical and musical figures to create artistic works, performances, interpretations devoted to the creative heritage of I. G. Pinzel.

This is the second edition of the book “ Таїна Пінзеля “. According to the sponsor, co-publisher of Taras Demkura’s album, the necessity for such a collection arose 5 years ago, when the works of the master were exhibited in Louvre (At that time the first thousand of copies was published). The book includes more than one hundred of photos with superscriptions in Ukrainian, in Polish and in English under each of them.
