University Drama Club
The aim of the drama club is to make students familiar with the history of the theatrical art in an intelligible way, to evolve their interest in dramatization, to help gifted young people master basic components of the theatrical art (such as: actor’s skills, the scenic movement, scenic speech, fundamentals of makeup), to develop ability of youth to show creative initiative as well as ability to use the obtained knowledge in practice.
At the lessons of the drama club some fragments of plays by different authors, as well as miniatures and adaptations are being staged, both world and national classic works, student’s pieces of poetry are recited. Students take part in concerts, in writing scenarios, skits and sketches.
The members of the club are getting acquainted with outstanding examples of world dramaturgy, do their voice training, train as concert comperes and as actors.

University Dance Club
The activity of the dance club of the University is oriented on full-time students of various age groups and years of study.
The general aim of this dance club is dedicated to developing and improving the choreographic art of the University students who are members of this creative group (regarding the period of their participation in the activity of the club, their individual skills and experience), facilitating the development of their general cultural and aesthetic skills, stimulating their active participation in the cultural life of the city, of the University, and of the whole region.
The actuality of this club lies in the attempt to combine the basic features of scenic art, makeup and maquillage, attires history etc. with drills and rehearsals.
The structure of the dance club:
– folk choreography;
– modern dances;
– sport dances;
– ball dances.
Location: Small gymnasium hall, hostel 8, Cheluskin Street
Monday (17-00 – 20-00) individual lessons with the members of the club.
Tuesday, Thursday (17-30 – 20-30) main lessons.
Amateur Folk Orchestra
The programme of the amateur folk orchestra of modern instrumental music «Barvy Karpat» is for full-time students of different age groups regarding the level of musical literacy and education, stage skills and experience in the groups of orchestra genres before the entry to the educational institution of each participant of the creative team.
The main goal and fields are: the further development and improvement of stage skills, both team and individual, and each of its participants; promotion of active participation in the cultural and public life of the educational institution, city and region.
In March 2015 the orchestra «Barvy Karpat» was nominated as «People’s amateur group».

Student’s chorus «Resonance» was created in September 1992 at the Department of Music of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Its founder is Professor Andriy Kushnirenko, well-known Ukrainian artistic leader, composer, folklorist of Ukraine, Shevchenko Prize laureate, Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, Head of Chernivtsi regional branch of the National Ukrainian Music
The national chorus «Resonance» at different times was directed by such artistic leaders as Taras Stinkovyi (Professor of the department of music), Zoya Sofronii (former graduate of the department), Alla Kostynian and Olena Knihnitska (concertmasters).
